I'm using a simple mission template, however you get the choice of what type of weather you would like to fly in. I am still learning the F-18C, therefore if any one other than Mav wants to join in for a flight feel free. Brief is as follows.
The UN will be holding peace talks with high ranking Serbian and Croatian officials in the coastal town of Poti. The delegates are expected to arrive in Poti during the next 72hrs. US and Australian airforces having been conducting military training exercises in the region, therefore the UN have asked for our assistance in providing several aircraft to secure the airspace surrounding Poti.
The UN have brokered a deal with the host nation to set up a Forward Operating Base in Batumi.
Our flight will transit from Tbilisi-Lochini to Batumi airbase at 7:00hrs.
A C-130 Hercules transport is departing Mineralnye Vody at 07:00hrs with personnel and materials to support this deployment. This aircraft will be flying near Tbilisi-Lochini, therefore once airborne rendezvous with the Hercules at WP1 @ 07:40 hrs and escort it to Batumi airbase.
1. NATO AWACS support is in the region and will provide Command and Control of the airspace.
2. The USS John C. Stennis is off the coast of Batumi to allow pilots to get carrier landing experience until operations begin.
Serbian and Croatian forces have increased their security levels as a result of this meeting. Whilst considered peaceful talks; things could escalate quickly.
